PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk player capable of surely positioning two types of disks in a disk chucking position without damaging disk surfaces irrespective of the installed position of the disk player. SOLUTION: This disk player is provided with a disk carrier path extending from a disk insertion port 94 to a disk chucking position between a turntable 91 and a chucking pulley 51, first and second disk centering mechanisms 8 and 2 abutted on the outer peripheral edge of a disk being carried from both sides of the center line of the disk carrier path to press the disk to the center line, and a disk positioning mechanism 3 for receiving the disk outer peripheral edge from both sides of the center line to position the disk in the disk chucking position.
