PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic control valve with a relief valve capable of being easily attached to a compressor and providing the relief valve without requiring an exclusive section and to provide the compressor with this electromagnetic control valve. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic control valve 21 has a high pressure part 26, a middle pressure part 27, a low pressure part 28, a plunger 29 inserted into an insertion hole 23 in which openings 24, 25 are formed at both ends, respectively, to adjust each opening of a supply passage from the high pressure part 26 to the middle pressure part 27 and a return passage from the middle pressure part 27 to the low pressure part 28 and a solenoid 30 for controlling and driving the plunger 29 in accordance with an electric signal. The relief valve 22 for adjusting pressure is provided in the high pressure part 26. Consequently, installation of the relief valve 22 as a single unit is unnecessary, and it is unnecessary to support the electromagnetic control valve 21 firmly by suppressing pressure of refrigerant gas applied to the electromagnetic control valve 21 by the relief valve 22.
