PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a mixed cellulose acylate which gives a mixed cellulose acylate film capable of solving display troubles occurring in the case of black display in a liquid crystal display device provided with the mixed cellulose acylate film. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the mixed cellulose acylate comprises mixedly acylating a swollen cellulose swollen with water, at least one 2-6C carboxylic acid or a mixture of water with the at least one 2-6C carboxylic acid in the presence of a bisulfate salt or a bisulfate salt and a Broensted acid at 35-100°C.
