<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which allows the use of a memory card, without using a card adapter and also is in no danger of damaging socket part, due to mounting in a wrong direction or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus, which uses memory information in a memory card CF, includes a socket 20 for receiving the memory card CF, provided in the inside of the image forming apparatus 1, an opening 31 for supporting the memory card CF body, provided on an outer panel 10 of the image forming apparatus, and projections 33A, B extending over almost whole area of the memory card CF's inserting direction inside of the opening 31, to engage to notches 106A, B of the memory card CF, when the memory card CF is mounted on the socket 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
