PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel electrophotographic photoreceptor which is high in charge generation efficiency of a charge generation agent compounded in a photosensitive layer and can realize a higher speed of an electrophotographic process or a reduction of an amount of use of the charge generation agent and a lower cost accompanying the same. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor equipped with the photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate, wherein the photosensitive layer contains charge generation agent, and a charge transport agent, and a binder resin, and uses phthalocyanine particulates and a hybrid-based metal-phthalocyanine nano crystal having a metallic film formed on the surface thereof as the charge generation agent.
