PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound input apparatus equipped with a noise eliminating means with high adaptivity which is adaptive to special environments such as inside of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The sound input apparatus has: one or more microphone means 110-1 to 110-n for detecting sound; a sound input means 120 for inputting sound; a filter means 130 for eliminating a noise component from sound inputted by the sound input means 120; a first storage means 150 for storing information on the noise; a filter computing means 160 for updating contents of the filter means 130 and storing the information on the noise of a sound signal to be used for updating in the first storage means 150; and a decision means 140 for deciding that the filter computing means 160 is to be operated when a target signal a user has inputted is included in the sound signal acquired from the sound input means 120 and the kind of noise component in the sound signal where the target signal is not included differs from the kind of noise component included in the noise component stored in the first storage means 150.
