PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial composition which is excellent in antimicrobial power, deodorizing power, and the like, and can sustain the effects over a long period of time. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial composition comprises a crystalline titanium silicate containing an antimicrobial metal ion. Therein, the SiO<SB>2</SB>/TiO<SB>2</SB>molar ratio of the crystalline titanium silicate is 4 to 50. The antimicrobial metal ion is selected from silver, copper, zinc, and tin ions. The content of the metal ion is 0.1 to 10 pts.wt. as the metal of the metal ion per 100 pts.wt. of the titanium silicate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
