PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a mounting property to a flat fuel tank. SOLUTION: This invented axial type fuel pump 10 is provided with a roughly disk shape impeller 20 and casings 14, 16 rotatably storing the impeller 20. The impeller 20 is equipped with a permanent magnet 23 and the casing 14 is provided with a drive coil 40. Fuel inlets 28a, 30a are provided on a side surface of the casing 14. A fuel delivery opening 70 is provided on an upper surface of the casing 16. Consequently, fuel sucked from a radial direction of an impeller 20 is discharged in an axial direction of the impeller.
