PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger where electric contact is stable when a portable unit is put, and wear life of the terminal can be postponed. SOLUTION: A charging terminal 5 on the charger side is elastically supported by a support terminal 15 and protrudes inwardly from a window 17. When a portable bar code reader is put on the charger, a rotation contact terminal 16 is pressed to a power reception terminal 4 of the portable bar code reader. Then, because the rotation contact terminal 16 rotates and the contact position with respect to the power reception terminal 4 changes, the contact state with respect to the power reception terminal 4 by the charging terminal 5 can be made good. In addition, because the rotation contact terminal 16 comes into pressure contact with the power reception terminal 4 by the elastic force of a spring section 15b constructing the support terminal 15, the rotation contact terminal 16 can be surely made to come into contact with the power reception terminal 4 by the spring section 15b providing a sufficient amount of deflection.
