PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of preventing the grease in the meshing part of a rack with a pinion from being mixed with the grease in a decelerating mechanism part. SOLUTION: A housing 10 is formed rigidly from a first housing part for a meshing mechanism part to generate meshing of the rack 3a with the pinion 2 and a second housing part for the decelerating mechanism part consisting of a worm 5 and a worm wheel 4, wherein the decelerating mechanism part is accommodated in the second housing part in perfect sealing.
