PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely remove attached matter like an adhesive tape attached to a plate with a relatively simple apparatus. SOLUTION: When removing attached matter 4 like the adhesive tape on the plate 2, the surface of the plate 2 containing an attached part of the attached matter 4 is ground by grinding brushes 14, 15 rotating around an axis, while sending the plate 2. For example, the upper face of an end part of the plate 2 is ground from the inner side to the outer side, by an upper face grinding brush 14 rotating around an axis tilted in relation to the sending direction of the plate 2 in a plane roughly parallel to the plate 2, then the end face of the plate 2 is ground by the end face grinding brush 15.
