The invention relates to a cutting device for sinking a cut hole in the ground, having a support on which are mounted in rotary manner about in each case one cutting wheel rotation axis at least two cutting wheels, at least one cutting wheel drive mechanism for the rotary driving of the cutting wheels on the support and a drive mechanism for the rotary driving of the support together with the cutting wheels about a support rotation axis directed roughly parallel to the sinking direction. The invention also relates to a method for producing a cut role in the ground.
