PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone system in which a user can easily determine who is a visitor by hearing out a call sound. SOLUTION: An interphone system comprises a fingerprint acquiring means for acquiring fingerprint data of a visitor, a database for registering the fingerprint data acquired by the fingerprint acquiring means, a checking means for checking the relationship between acquired fingerprint data acquired by the fingerprint acquiring means with registration fingerprint data already registered in the database, and a call sound generation means generating a call sound. In this interphone system, a control means for generating different call sounds by the call sound generation means based on the result of the checking by the checking means.
