PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ferris wheel with a gondola which a wheel chair can be very safely allowed to get on/off. SOLUTION: The Ferris wheel has a platform 1 for allowing a passenger to get on and off the gondola 2. The platform 1 is provided with a lifting base 3 having a base plate 6 flush with the floor surface 1a of the platform 1 in a lowered condition and positioned at the same height as the floor surface of the seat 2 in a raised condition.
