Method and apparatus for adjusting a measurement cycle in a satellite signal receiver is described. In one example, a notification is received at the satellite signal receiver that is indicative of at least one of a route-critical event and a motion-change event. A frequency of the measurement cycle is automatically adjusted in response to the notification. |
