PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous resin composition forming a coated film showing a good finished appearance and excellent in weather resistance, waterproof property and low temperature physical properties, even at a normal temperature. SOLUTION: This aqueous resin composition is characterized by containing (A) an aqueous fatty acid-modified resin dispersion produced by finely dispersing (I) a monomer mixture containing (a) a fatty acid-modified polymerizable unsaturated monomer and (b) another polymerizable unsaturated monomer in an aqueous medium so as to form≤500 nm mean particle diameter, and polymerizing the monomer emulsion, and (B) an aqueous urethane resin, and having within (10/90)-(99/1) range blending ratio of the resin (A) to resin (B) in their solid portion weight ratio.
