PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission/reception control circuit capable of effectively suppressing output of higher harmonics when a communication system located on the low frequency side is used, and a communication apparatus using the transmission/reception control circuit. SOLUTION: In the transmission/reception control circuit provided with a diplexer Di to be electrically connected to an external antenna Ant, a first switch circuit Sw1 for selectively connecting an external transmission/reception circuit to the external antenna Ant at the time of transmitting/receiving a signal in a first frequency band and a second switch circuit Sw2 for selectively connecting the external transmission/reception circuit to the external antenna Ant at the time of transmitting/receiving a signal in a second frequency band located on the high frequency side as compared with the first frequency band; a second switch side terminal of the diplexer is connected to ground potential through the second switch circuit Sw2 at the time of transmitting the signal in the first frequency band.
