PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersant which can stably disperse various pigments in a vehicle and does not reduce physical properties of dried films, and to provide a stable pigment composition and a pigment dispersion excellent in non-aggregating properties and flowability and suitable for an offset ink, a rotogravure ink, a coating, an ink-jet ink and the like. SOLUTION: The pigment dispersant comprises a vinyl polymer-grafted polyallylamine or a vinyl polymer-grafted polyvinylamine in which a vinyl polymer is chemically bonded with a polyallylamine or a polyvinylamine, respectively, wherein the vinyl polymer is obtained by copolymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a functional group capable of reacting with an amino group and another ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The pigment composition comprises the pigment dispersant and a pigment. The pigment dispersion comprises the pigment dispersant and a pigment both dispersed in a liquid medium.
