PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To employ a multiplex development system in a wet process electrophotographic technique and to output a color image having high resolution and high image quality at a high speed when a photoreceptor having an organic photosensitive layer as a photosensitive layer is used. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor 10 is used for a wet process electrophotographic apparatus 1 employing the multiplex development system and is equipped with a substrate 101 having a conductive surface, and the organic photosensitive layer 102 which covers the conductive surface and changes in the electrostatic state by irradiation of light. The specific dielectric constantε<SB>r</SB>of the organic photosensitive layer 102 is <3.5 and the specific dielectric constantε<SB>r</SB>and the thickness (d) (μm) of the organic photosensitive layer satisfy the relation expressed by inequality: 0.11<ε<SB>r</SB>/d<0.5.
