PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device for improving transporting efficiency even with a small driving force. SOLUTION: This elevator device has a first riding car 4 elevating along a guide rail 9, and a second riding car 3 elevating along a guide rail 10. The device is equipped with a first rope 5 connecting the first riding car 4 with the second riding car 3, a second rope 17 connected with the first riding car 4 separately from the first rope 5, and a winding machine 6 driven with the second rope 18 wound around a sheave 7.
