PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side trimmer apparatus capable of appropriately guiding cut trimmed chips to a chute, preventing clogging of the trimmed chips, and providing stable trimming work, in the side trimmer apparatus which finishes both end portions of a metallic band to prescribed width dimensions by a pair of upper and lower rotating round blades respectively for processing by delivering the cut trimmed chips through the chute provided at a lower portion on the delivery side of the rotating round blade. SOLUTION: A chute upper cover 3 for guiding the chute 2 by pressing the cut trimmed chips 11a is provided at an upper portion of the chute 2, and a guide roll 4 for preventing clogging of the trimmed chips 11a is attached onto the top end of the chute upper cover 3.
