PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery cell supporting body capable of effectively restraining crack and exfoliation of a solid electrolyte by restraining reduction swelling.

SOLUTION: The supporting body contains iron group metal (M) and/or an oxide of the iron group metal (M), an oxide of rare earth containing at least one kind of rare earth element, and a compound containing Mg, which has gas permeability and conductivity.
