PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonhalogen flame-retardant adhesive composition having excellent migration resistance, a copper-clad laminate for a flexible printed wiring board using the same, a flexible printed board and a coverlay film for a flexible printed wiring board. SOLUTION: In the nonhalogen flame-retardant adhesive composition comprising an epoxy resin (A), an acid anhydride-based curing agent (B), curing agent promoter (C), a carboxy group-containing ethylene-acrylic rubber (D) and a flame retardant (E), the amount of the acid anhydride-based curing agent (B) is 80-110 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the epoxy resin (A) and the amount of the carboxy group-containing ethylene-acrylic rubber (D) is 15-40 mass % based on the total of the epoxy resin (A), the acid anhydride-based curing agent (B) and the curing agent promoter (C) and the carboxy group-containing ethylene-acrylic rubber (D).
