PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the valve opening speed of a choke valve fast immediately after the start of engine warm-up operation and slow as coming to the end of warm-up operation in an auto choke device of a carburetor. SOLUTION: This auto choke device of a carburetor includes: a wax type temperature sensitive part 25; and an output part 26 opening a choke valve 19 of the carburetor C according to the heat receiving operation of the temperature sensitive part 25, wherein the device further includes: a bottomed movable cylinder 31; a fixed piston slidably supported on the cylinder with one end thereof projected outside the movable cylinder 31; and a wax 35 for relatively moving the movable cylinder 31 and the fixed piston 33 in the axial direction when thermal expansion is caused, the movable cylinder 31 is slidably stored with the outer end of the fixed piston 33 abutted on the inner surface of the bottom 30b' in a bottomed cylindrical housing 30 fitted to an engine E with the bottom 30b' directed toward the high-temperature side, thereby constituting the temperature sensitive part 25, and the output part 26 is connected to the movable cylinder 31.
