Dielectric barrier discharge lamp with solder-free contacts

The lamp has discharge electrodes (15) at least partly separated from the discharge medium in a discharge vessel (11) by a dielectric coating and a contact surface (17) for electrical contacting of the electrodes applied to the lamp externally relative to the discharge vessel. The method involves connecting conductors to the contact surface in a solid state under plastic deformation of the contact surface : An independent claim is also included for a dielectrically inhibited discharge lamp.
