STABILIZER FOR CHLORINE-CONTAINING POLYMERS COMPOSED OF TETRABASIC LEAD SULFATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer for chlorine-containing polymers composed of tetrabasic lead sulfate which is excellent not only in dynamic heat stability but also in static heat stability. SOLUTION: The stabilizer is composed of tetrabasic lead sulfate particles which have the peak intensity ratio R as defined by the formula (1): R=I202/I230×100 (wherein I202is the X-ray diffraction peak of plane index (202) and I230is the X-ray diffraction peak of plane index (230)) of from higher than 20% to 40% or lower and have an average particle size (D50) in the range from 0.2 to 3.0μm.
