PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain image display of high image quality regardless of an operation for changing luminance of illumination of a display device. SOLUTION: A graphic controller 114 generates an image signal for forming a display image to be displayed on the display device. A high quality video engine 115 performs high quality video processing of the image signal generated by the graphics controller 114. When a user performs a luminance changing operation for changing luminance of illumination of a LCD 17, values of various parameters (contrast, brightness, hue, saturation, a gamma correction value, etc.) for use in high quality video processing of the engine 115 are changed through applications, intermediate modules, a BIOS, and an EC/KBC 124.
