PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field type photoelectric conversion element which can efficiently perform photoelectric conversion of incident light. SOLUTION: In a photoelectric conversion device wherein one surface of a photoelectric conversion layer 102 is made a light receiving surface, a reflective layer 103 which reflects incident light is arranged on the opposite side of the light receiving surface of the photoelectric conversion layer 102. As a result, incident light which is made to enter the light receiving surface and reaches the bottom of the photoelectric conversion layer 102 and whose energy is not absorbed by the photoelectric conversion layer 102 is reflected by the reflective layer 103, and optical path length of the incident light can be lengthened.
