PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car device of an elevator mounting a balance weight on a floor supporting frame for supporting a car floor in a factory, easily carrying the floor supporting frame and facilitating an installation work. SOLUTION: The balance weight 22 is arranged at a proper position of the floor supporting frame 12 to made a center of gravity position of the car device coincide with an engagement position of a car frame 1 and a main rope, is mounted on a lateral material 14 of the floor supporting frame 12, forms a void in relation to an under surface of the car floor 6, and is arranged on an upper side of the lateral material 14. As a result, the balance weight 22 does not project downward from the lateral material 14. Even if the balance weight 22 is mounted on the floor supporting frame 12 in the factory in advance, an obstacle is not generated when performing a work of carrying the floor supporting frame 12, etc., installation field works are reduced and installation cost is reduced.
