PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a smooth connection without being disturbed by a speaker box 20 when connecting an external connecting cord to a terminal part 44 on a back side of a flat panel display body 2, for example, in a flat panel display device 1 comprised of the flat panel display body 2 and a stand 10 for placing and supporting the flat panel display body 2 thereon and comprising, in the stand 10, the speaker box 20 with a built-in speaker (woofer) 21. SOLUTION: The stand 10 comprises a slide mechanism for variably adjusting a position of the speaker box 20 relative to the flat panel display body 2, so that the speaker box 20 can be slid and adjusted in accordance with a size of the flat panel display body 2.
