PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein in an electron beam irradiation device of high acceleration voltage, insulation is strongly required, hence a motor is disposed on the ground side, a generator is disposed on the high voltage side, they are interconnected through an insulating rod, the generator is rotated by the motor to generate alternating-current power, it is passed through a transformer to form suitable current and voltage, and they are applied to a filament to heat the filament to generate thermal electrons, but rotating apparatuses, such as the motor and generator cause the vibration and noise to degrade a device or component of a high-pressure frame, the insulating rod is a long and narrow insulator, is rotated at a low rotational speed of about 60-50 Hz, and breaks by decentering, and the processing of the insulating rod is difficult and the mounting takes much time. SOLUTION: A light source is disposed on the ground side, and a light-generating panel is disposed on the high voltage side, and power for heating an electron source filament is applied by optical transmission, and the filament is heated.
