PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a spray type room space sterilizing agent and to provide a spray type room space sterilizing method that can effectively and efficiently sterilize the whole space in rooms of a hospital or a food plant. SOLUTION: In the spray type room space sterilizing method, the spray type room space sterilizing agent containing 0.5 to 2 %wt. of 2,4,4'-trichloro-2'-hydroxy diphenyl ether represented by formula (1), 5 to 15 %wt. of an alcoholic solvent or acetone, and 83 to 94.5 %wt. of liquefied carbon dioxide is sprayed with a spray gun in the room till every corners.
