The label comprises a lower label (2), the edge of which coincides with the edge of the label, and an upper label (1) which has a self-adhesive lower portion and which projects beyond at least one side of the lower label. The lower label has a substantially higher flexural rigidity that the upper label. An independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing labels.
