PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow molded product which saves labor and cost for treating wood flour and inhibits discoloration or deformation of the wood flour caused by heat at molding, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The hollow molded product with an appearance resembling natural wood is formed through blow molding of a resin composition containing 1-30 pts.wt. polyphenylene ether against 100 pts.wt. total of 10-60 wt.% cellulose particulate and 90-40 wt.% thermoplastic resin. Since the resin composition can be blow-molded at a low temperature, discoloration or deformation of the wood flour etc. or burnt odor caused by overheating in an extrusion step of a parison are inhibited, and the molded product shows an increased resemblance to wood in terms of appearance or texture without providing any special treatment to the wood flour etc. Omission of such special treatment can save labor and cost.
