The conveyor has a pulling unit (11) with a pulling guide operative for redirecting the pulling unit. A tensioning device tensions the pulling unit. The tensioning device generates a return torque that acts on the pulling guide. The pulling guide has a return shaft and a swing arm, where the swing arm is pivotally supported. The swing arm is rotatably connected with the tensioning device at a pivot point.
