A novel fungicide that exhibits a wide disease control spectrum against pathogenic fungi acting on various crops and helps resolve worsening resistant strain problems. There are provided diamine derivatives of the formula (1), a process for producing the same and fungicides containing the derivatives as an active ingredient. [wherein R1 is a substituent such as C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>6</SUB> alkyl; each of R2 and R5 independently is a hydrogen atom or a substituent such as C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>6</SUB> alkyl; each of R3 and R4 independently is a hydrogen atom or a substituent such as C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>6</SUB> alkyl, or is a C<SUB>3</SUB>-C<SUB>6</SUB> cycloalkyl containing a carbon atom engaging in mutual bonding therebetween; each of R6, R7, R8 and R9 independently is a hydrogen atom or a substituent such as C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>6</SUB> alkyl; R10 is a hydrogen atom or a substituent such as C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>6</SUB> alkyl; A is an oxygen atom or sulfur atom; and Q is an aryl or heterocycle].
