PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently troubleshooting by holding a history of a change in a state amount of an equipment body to an error occurrence even by turning OFF a power source of the body. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a state amount sensing means for sensing a state amount of an apparatus body, a control means for controlling an object to be controlled in response to a sensed result of the sensing means, a state amount holding means for always holding a predetermined quantity of predetermined control data or predetermined state amount at each predetermined time on a storing area of a ring buffer structure at each predetermined time, and a nonvolatile memory means for transferring the data in the holding means thereto and storing the data when the control data or the state amount becomes an abnormal value or when the apparatus body senses a control fault. |
