<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlight capable of creating a light distribution pattern with an intended amount of light flux by using fewer LEDs, with easy heat radiation of the LEDs, and easy to manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of LEDs 2 having light-emitting characteristics of Lambert distribution construct specific light source units 10 by arranging a piece each of the LEDs inside a reflector 3 having a reflection face 3a at its inside, rectangularly crossing a light axis Z, having an almost round-shaped cross section, so that a light-emitting part 2a faces the reflection face 3a and changes the angle around a light axis Z at every LED 2. A plurality of light source units 10 are selected and mounted so that a synthesized light distribution L of the light emitted from the LEDs becomes nearly equal to a light distribution F of the light emitted from a filament type light source. The light of the plurality of light source units 10 emitted from the LEDs can be efficiently reflected frontward by the combination with the reflector 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
