PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent infiltration of rainwater into an attic space even if installing ventilating members in various parts of the attic space such as a ridge, a sheathing surface and a lean-to roof and to appropriately ventilate the attic space such as the ridge, sheathing surface and lean-to roof. SOLUTION: This ventilating member comprising two long-sized members 1, 1 of identical shape that can vertically overlap, is constituted to have long-sized shut-off walls 1b, 1b alternately extended from support plates 1a, 1a of both members 1, 1 to the object member side along the longitudinal direction in the alternately and vertically overlapping state of both members 1, 1, and to form a space part formed by the respective shut-off walls 1b, 1b and the respective support plates 1a, 1a of both members 1, 1, as a ventilating passage 2.
