<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrected tone curve generating apparatus which can obtain image data that can form a fine-grained and smooth record image even when a compensated corrected tone curve generates local discontinuity or a local maximum point or a minimum point. <P>SOLUTION: When image data in an original copy read by a copy machine scanner are applied a tone conversion process for being coordinated with the density tone of a record image in a γ conversion circuit of an image processor, one of from among-dimensional digital filters with different sizes and intensities is selected (S2) to apply smoothing processing using the digital filter (S3) to converted data (S1) of the corrected tone curve whose base tone curve is compensated so that a desired record image density tone can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
