<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the distance to a target object without confusing with a transmission signal by an LED while maintaining the service life of the other LED when realizing a distance measuring function using the LED for illumination. <P>SOLUTION: In this lamp device with the distance measuring function, light emission of a plurality of groups of LEDs 11<SB>1</SB>, 11<SB>2</SB>to 11<SB>n</SB>composed of a plurality of LEDs is controlled by time series to add time series pattern information to a transmission signal, and a reflection signal agreeing with the time series pattern information transmitted by a signal sampling/distance calculating part 42 is sampled to calculate distance to the target object based on difference in time until the sampled reflection signal is received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
