PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect copyright of firmware by preventing copy of the firmware by duplicating a flash ROM with a ROM writer. SOLUTION: When a serial number stored in the flash ROM and a serial number stored in an EEPROM match with each other, an image processing system is operated. When the serial number stored in the flash ROM and the serial number stored in an EEPROM match with each other, the image processing system is not operated.
