PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording tape cartridge permitting to reduce cost more than a case of being provided with a memory board, and permitting to store various information therein to the same extent as the memory board. SOLUTION: The recording tape cartridge 10 is provided with a case 12 for housing a single reel 20 with a recording tape T wound around rotatably, an aperture 18 which is formed in the case 12 for the purpose of pulling out a leader tape 30 spliced to the end part of the recording tape T with a splicing tape 28, and a door 50 for opening/closing the aperture 18.
