PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a pop-up mechanism capable of setting a light emitting position when making the light emitting part of a flash pop up higher and more forward than in the conventional manner. SOLUTION: The light emitting part of the flash is supported by the edge of an arm-state supporting member 10, and pops up from a housing position to the light emitting position by moving the supporting member 10 to slide on a circular arc regulated by a guide groove. Then, the center of the circular arc obtained when the supporting member 10 is moved to slide is set more upward than an imaging apparatus body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
