<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize the function of a machine translation and translation resources in a translation memory by compiling to return the original to the state before the compiling even if the original is corrected in an apparatus for supporting the translation. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus of supporting the translation includes a translation memory 9 for storing a pair of the original and the translation which is the translation of the original, and an original-translation editorial unit 3 for editing the original-translation stored in this translation memory 9. The original-translation editorial unit 3 generates a third document to which a special symbol (ÐnumberÐ) is attached to the position according to the edit operation of a character string performed to the original (sentence dividing, sentence coupling, one-sentence compiling, etc.), and stores this third document in a compile history memory unit 15 as a compile history which is obtained by editing the original. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
