PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection device capable of surely detecting cutouts formed in a sheet at extremely low cost and with a simple construction. SOLUTION: When each half-cut portion 27a, 27b curved and widened to the side of each detector 60a, 60b by a film curvature roller 58, is irradiated with a laser beam LB outputted from a laser diode 39 constituting the detector 60a, 60b, a part of its reflected light is led into each light quantity sensor 45 and is detected. On the other hand, part of the laser beam LB irradiating a region other than the half-cut portion 27a, 27b of a photosensitive sheet film 12 is not detected by the sensor 45 since the beam is reflected outside the light receiving region of the sensor 45.
