PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snap fastener which stably demonstrates a spike effect by columnar small projections projectingly provided in a double concentric circle shape even in the case of using the resin of a high elongation percentage such as polyester as a material. SOLUTION: The snap fastener comprises a rivet member and fitting members 1 and 3 for which a male type or a female type fitting part 9 is integrally molded on the surface of a substrate 8 made of synthetic resin where a through-hole 7 for inserting the projection of the rivet member is formed and the columnar small projections 10a and 10b with a flat distal end in the side face view are projectingly provided in the double concentric circle shape on the back surface of the substrate, and the fitting members are attached to a cloth-like base material by inserting the projection of the rivet member driven in from one side of the cloth-like base material to the through-hole and spreading and deforming the projected distal end part by hitting. Of the columnar small projections 10a and 10b projectingly provided in the double concentric circle shape, the columnar small projection 10a positioned on an outer circle is made to have a large diameter and the columnar small projection 10b positioned on an inner circle is made to have a small diameter.
