PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod having a coated layer scarcely causing crack in an ear tip part using a core material composed of a superelastic material. SOLUTION: The ear tip part 21 of an ear tip rod has a core material 22 having a shape of the ear tip part 21, a coated layer 23 installed on the surface of the core material 22 and a plurality of guides 24 installed on the outer peripheral surface of the ear tip part 21 and guiding a fishline. The coated layer 23 is composed of a material in which the elongation is equivalent to or larger than that in deformation in an elastic deformation area of the core material 22.
