摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical apparatus in which a high-quality display image can be obtained while longitudinal and lateral crosstalk can be decreased. SOLUTION: A device substrate includes pixel electrodes, TFD (thin film diode) elements, data lines and dummy data lines, wherein the dummy data line is disposed between the pixel electrode and an adjacent data line not connected to the pixel electrode. The pixel electrode and the adjacent data line not connected to the pixel electrode are shielded from each other by the dummy data line and no parasitic capacitance is generated between them, which prevents fluctuation in the voltage Vlc of the pixel electrode, maintains the transmissivity of a liquid crystal to an appropriate state, and prevents longitudinal crosstalk. As the dummy data line is driven at a potential in an opposite polarity by inverting the potential of the data line, a parasitic capacitance C_b' generated between the dummy data line and the scanning line is compensated with a parasitic capacitance C_b generated between the data line and scanning line.
