<p>There is provided a picture book type projection toy enabling a user to enjoy a dynamic image by simple operation. The picture book type projection toy (1) comprises a film cassette (3) provided with a film carrying a large number of frame images of different scenes with a caption so as to constitute a story as a whole, and a toy body (2) provided with a projection means arranged so that the film cassette (3) is removably attached and projecting the frame image as a light image by illuminating the film, and an operator for switching the frame image projected by feeding the film. The picture book type projection toy (1) is further provided with a storage means for storing sound data corresponding to at least a part of the large number of frame images and arranged to output a sound based on the sound data corresponding to a frame image existing at the projecting position through operation of the operator.</p>
